Terms of Use & Purpose
My Campaign Staff & I, wish to cordially invite & welcome all of you here, as citizens, members, residents & workforce professionals; The People of Wellsville, to this website & Forum. This discussion & campaign, is an undertaken endeavor on behalf of our community, where you are encouraged to exercise your Rights of Free Speech, with your opinions & (constructive) criticism … to raise levels of awareness by addressing important & vital community issues … or issues which have affected the status of your family, home or quality of life in this community.
Who can participate? This discussion is intended to raise awareness for various important community issues, regarding the upcoming November, 2016 Mayoral Election for the Village of Wellsville. However, we feel that since a wider variety of these topics & significant issues may have similarity or a commonality within areas of Allegany County, the views of people who live & work in this county are equally welcomed. We place a very high value on views from well-intentioned people. The direction of our future is directly attributed to the course we choose today. No one should ask for your vote, without their steady commitment to listen.
We are all adults, with significant personal responsibility for the decisions we make & the actions we take. I genuinely hope that each of you please keep this in mind when you post your contributions here, which are sincerely appreciated. There is distinction between having an opinion, a strong opinion or even criticism; This is not to be confused or misinterpreted with writing or composing libelous or defaming comments or statements … which may deteriorate & defeat the purpose of this Forum & Message Board. Why not offer your best; less – accomplishes less.
Communication is absolutely essential for progress & reform. It can be the currency of understanding, an exchange of positive, benevolent ideas, negotiation, compromise & constructive debate leading to productive resolutions & fairness … Or it can dissolve into a much less effective acrimonious incivility through repetitive pointless arguments. The latter approach has proven time & time again; it does not work to promote the best available results.
The Log-ins (for your user-name) on this forum & message board, also coincides with & is compatible to your existing Facebook, Twitter & Google+ accounts, for your convenience. This forum will allow temporary ‘Guest’ user accounts, if you wish to make an anonymous comment; however, we respectfully request that this courtesy not be abused for disruptive or offensive purposes, nor should it ever be used to discuss unauthorized, personal details or circumstances of someone’s life or family, in any manner whatsoever, that is illegal, or violates any person’s constitutional rights of privacy. Reposted or relevant news stories are allowed, in the fair interests of Justice or necessary matters of public information.
Any flagrant, intentional or conspicuous violation of our Terms of Use … in the form of deliberate, willful or malicious posts, comments or statements, will be subject to immediate deletion & may result in reporting such content to appropriate Law Enforcement &/or the Proper Authorities. Please, let’s not resort to wrongdoing.
Please remember, even though this discussion forum & message board involves your rights of free speech & is genuinely purposed for improving the quality of life in this community, all the views expressed here coincide upon this platform which is political in nature. Please demonstrate courteous & respectful moderation when presenting your thoughts & issues, in as much as you would expect responses in the same manner.
